About Us

The Franklin County Municipal Court Dispute Resolution Department provides mediation services for the court and public.
 

Mediation is a way to resolve disputes outside of a courtroom with the help of a neutral mediator. The mediator helps parties exchange information and proposals through negotiation. Mediation is private and the mediator can document an agreement in writing for the parties to resolve a case.

*If no lawsuit is pending, Pre-File Mediation is available before filing.

Confirm Your Mediation Appointment

If you received a Notice of Mediation in the mail, you must confirm your appointment by providing up to date contact information and your requested preference for how you would like to participate in your mediation. If you do not confirm your appointment, the mediator may be unable to reach you during your scheduled mediation. The mediation department cannot reschedule your mediation if the mediator was unable to reach you during your scheduled mediation.
